Allocates 319 residential plots to car dealers

In order to effectively tap from the entrepreneurships of the car dealers and encourage them to promote commercial activities in the Federal Capital Territory , Federal Capital Territory , (FCT) Minister, Dr. Aliyu Modibbo Umar has concluded plans to allocate 319 residential plots of land to them.

The Minister who urged them to continue to support the government in providing additional employment opportunities for Abuja residents, observed that the government alone can not provide employment for the teeming Nigeria youths.

He said that the plots of land have been mapped out to provide residential accommodation for Car Dealers/Inland Cargo operators in the Federal Capital Territory to give them a sense of belonging.

While revealing that the residential layout is located in Dei-Dei, adjacent to the Car Dealers’ Mart/Inland Cargo Operators’ Center, he said the residential layout comprises of 319 plots of land with other facilities like health center, town hall, primary school, police station, banks and mini-market.

“The siting of the 319 residential plots close to the Car Dealers’ Mart/Inland Cargo Center is a deliberate policy by the FCT Administration to reduce traffic problems as they will simply move into their houses after the day’s job”, he said

The Minister further disclosed that the Car Dealers/Inland Cargo Center will be built on 200 hectares of land in Dei-Dei, Abuja as the Consultant handling the job has almost completed the design.

“The design when submitted to the FCT Administration by the Consultant will be developed immediately to bring succor to the car dealers/inland cargo operators in the Territory”, he added.

The Minister seized the opportunity to invite the general public interested in participating in the development of the ultra-modern village especially in investing or providing the basic facilities to indicate interest.
