KADCCIMA in trade mission to Turkey, Syria

The Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) recently undertook a trade mission to Turkey and Arab Republic of Syria.
The eleven-man delegation was led by the KADCCIMA President, Hajiya Saratu I. Aliyu. While in Turkey, the delegation was able to meet with members of Kayseri and Istanbul Chambers of Commerce. During their meeting with them, the Chambers of Commerce agreed to partner with Kaduna Chamber of Commerce in the area of exchange of business investment and trade information for the benefit of the two countries. They also agreed to support and participate in each other’s programmes particularly Trade Fairs and Exhibitions. The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce in addition, agreed to assist the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce in the area of capacity-building for its staff and members in certain specific business areas, a statement made available to the New Nigerian from KADCCIMA said.
While in Syria, the Chamber met with members of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Syria Chambers of Commerce and the Syrian-Nigerian Business Council in Damascus. Meeting between the chambers and these bodies centred on improving and promoting trade, business and investment relationship between Nigeria and Syria. It also brought about the need to establish the Nigerian-Syrian Business Council in Nigeria which should be nurtured by the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce. The Nigerian Charge d’ Affairs, to Syria, Ambassador Hassan and the President, Syrian Nigerian Business Council, Mr. Walid Zabadne facilitated the meeting in Syria.
