From MUSTAPHA GIDE, Kano |

THE management of Kabo AIR in Kano said that the 2008 intending pilgrims to be airlifted by the airline will benefit from its new strategies for successful airlift with the addition of another Boeing 747-200 aircraft. The Managing Director of Kabo Air Limited, Captain Saidu Mohammed said in Kano that as part of the arrangements for successful operation the airline had to add to its fleet.

The managing director said “the aircraft with registration number 5N-DKB was also acquired from Northwest Airlines and is the second to join the company’s fleet in less than a year, adding that the plane is billed to land in the country through Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano anytime.

He explained that the company will also take delivery of another Boeing 747-200 aircraft with registration number 5N-JRM before the commencement of the operations. According to him, “With these and a host of other strategies embarked upon by the company, the airline is poised to maintain its position as leader in Hajj operations since 1990”.

Captain Saidu further disclosed that the company will soon commence operation to Dubai and Cairo routes as approval has already been obtained from the authorities at both NCAA and NAHCON.
