THE management of
Kabo AIR in Kano said that the 2008 intending pilgrims to be
airlifted by the airline will benefit from its new strategies for
successful airlift with the addition of another Boeing 747-200
aircraft. The Managing Director of Kabo Air Limited, Captain Saidu
Mohammed said in Kano that as part of the arrangements for
successful operation the airline had to add to its fleet.
The managing
director said “the aircraft with registration number 5N-DKB was also
acquired from Northwest Airlines and is the second to join the
company’s fleet in less than a year, adding that the plane is billed
to land in the country through Malam Aminu Kano International
Airport, Kano anytime.
He explained that
the company will also take delivery of another Boeing 747-200
aircraft with registration number 5N-JRM before the commencement of
the operations. According to him, “With these and a host of other
strategies embarked upon by the company, the airline is poised to
maintain its position as leader in Hajj operations since 1990”.
Captain Saidu further disclosed that the
company will soon commence operation to Dubai and Cairo routes as
approval has already been obtained from the authorities at both NCAA
and NAHCON.
