Caleb Zagi Campaign Organization for the southern Kaduna senatorial district has denied the rumour that Action Congress of Nigeria ACN senatorial candidate, Mr. Caleb Zagi has withdrawn from the coming Saturday's senatorial election.
Its director of research, Dr. Zwahu Bonat in a statement described the rumour as false and without basis and urged the senator's supporters to ignore the statement as it was the handiwork of opponents, meant to gain cheap popularity intended to confuse the voters.
"For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Caleb Zagi wishes to inform the voters and all his supporters in Kaduna south senatorial district that he is still in the contest, has not withdrawn, and will not withdraw from the contest," the statement explained.
It further stated, "We should all rise up, support and vote for Senator Zagi for progress, integrity, dedication to service, state creation and the total liberation of southern Kaduna. Everybody who loves southern Kaduna should ignore the baseless rumour, and tell all our people to come out and vote for Zagi."
The statement therefore urged the people not to be deceived by the politics of party sentiments and imposition but that of personality and development.
It listed the senator's achievements to include consolidation of 132 KV line from Jos –Kafanchan, Kagoro, Irrigation scheme and dam, youth development through scholarship and computer donation, women empowerment, among others.
