The facilities are expected to compliment Obudu Ranch Resort by providing accommodation to officials and athletes that will participate in the race which will include about 50 international and local athletes as well as the camp commandant.

Conducting Governor Imoke round, Oqua disclosed that the tiles in the hostels were replaced because of defects while furnishing will commence within the week to get the facilities ahead of the arrival of the athletes, adding that the installation of intercom will commence soon to enhance communication within the lodges.

Investigation reveals that the electricity project, sponsored with grants from the Japanese government, stretching from Bebi Airstrip to Obudu Ranch Resort has been completed pending when the lines will be energized.

The project has been extended to the Utanga Safari Lodges which had hitherto been powered by solar energy while the water project and the staff quarters and offices have been completed.
