Justice Mohammed Lawal Bello-led  Kaduna State post-election violence Judicial Commission of Inquiry yesterday ended its public hearing after treating over 300 memoranda submitted to it.
Speaking during the last public sitting of the commission  at the Gamji Multi Hall in Kaduna, Chairman of the commission,  Justice Mohammed Lawal Bello  denied newspapers' report that 24 communities had walked  out on the commission after withdrawing their petitions, adding that only two groups  not satisfied with the commission's mode of operation  protested and left.
According to him, "Those that staged a walk out were ignorant of the ways and manner in which the commission is supposed to undertake its operation. But even with the incident the commission has enough evidence to conclude its duties."
He said that the commission received a total of 313 memoranda, adding that aside from the  two  groups that left, all were treated and that the commission had more than enough to do justice to the crisis.
The commission chairman further reminded the people of the state that the panel will ensure justice and that the people should wait patiently as the report will be fair to all, just as he urged the members of the Bar to be honest and sincere in their final submission as the commission will not prosecute or convict anybody, but will only make recommendations on ways to stop future crisis in the state.
His words: "I thank God for the opportunity to conduct the public hearing and also the opportunity to serve the good people of Kaduna state and in extension the country at large.
"We want to use this opportunity to assure the people that we will do our best to make sure that Kaduna state witnesses peace now and always", he said.
