Siasia confirms today for Malaysia trip

Report ______________________________________________________________________

Initial fears over preparations of the Under-23 national squad, Dream Team 4 seem to have eased off a bit, with an assurance by head coach, Samson Siasia that they are sure to participate in the Malaysia 8-Nation Tournament.

Erasing widespread doubt that the tournament will not hold, Siasia confirmed to brilafm.net that flight tickets have already been bought and departure is billed for today.

“That’s been sorted out. The organisers have assured us that they have bought our tickets, and we only need to taker our passports to the embassy on Monday and get our visas.

“I believe we should be able to get the visas. Everything is settled and we are ready to fly. All that is left now is for us to pick up our visas on Monday, and we should be off on the same day,” he acknowledged.

While expressing optimism that the tournament will help shape his Olympic dream into reality, the former Flying Eagles handler disclosed that he will pick 20 of the players camped in Abuja, while seven overseas-based stars will join the squad in Malaysia.
