Scouts storm Falconets’ camp

As the Falconets get set to
battle their Colombian counterparts tomorrow for the crucial semi-final match in Bielsfeld, the coaches and officials are battling with the intrusion of scouts from various countries who want to engage some of the girls. The scouts are from England, Germany, US, Norway and Sweden.
Abdulbakky Ibrahim, the media officer attached to the team in Germany spoke to our correspondent in Abuja from Biesfeld yesterday.
According to him, officials have been having a torrid time wading off scouts who want to talk to the girls. It has not been easy here with the girls, as soon as they beat the United States scouts have been inundating our camp with various request to speak with some of these girls.
Asked what measure officials on ground have adopted to wade off these intruders, Abdulbakky Ibrahim said James Peters the Assistant General Secretary (Technical) has laid down the rules saying nobody should entertain any manner of talk from any agent or proxies.
According to the media officer, the girls bonus have been jerked up from 750 dollars to one thousand dollars. A gesture the vice chairman female football in the Glass House Steve Giebgon said will be upwardly reviewed as the team progresses.
He said the mood in camp is upbeat as the girls have vowed to beat their Colombian counterparts tomorrow when they file out to fight for a place in the finals.
