2011: KDHA Speaker heads Yakowa’s campaign organisation

Assembly, Alhaji Ahmed Hassan Juma’are is to head Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa’s 2011 gubernatorial campaign.
This was made known during a meeting at the Mutunchi Campaign Organisation Secretariat of Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo which is now being rebranded as Mutunchi/Nakowa 2011.
Speaking at the meeting, Juma’are told the gathering that the organisation was re-structured in readiness for the task ahead. Wards, local governments and zonal offices would soon be inaugurated to commence the campaign for Yakowa’s election, he explained. Members of the organisation, he added, were ready to canvass for the election of the governor in 2011 and called on the people to support the organisation to achieve that.
Responding, Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa expressed satisfaction with the organisation’s structure towards supporting his aspiration and pledged his support to achieve the desired goal. He appealed for peace and harmony among the people for a successful and peaceful electioneering campaign.
The members of the restructured organisation include Chief of Staff to the governor, Alhaji Audi Mohammed, Director of Security, Alhaji Saidu Adamu the state Commissioner for Information and Home Affairs as its Director of publicity.
Others are the Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Mohammed Usman, Director Organisation, Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation, Mr Yohana Chindo, Research and Statistics, while their counterpart at the ministry of NGO and Student Affairs, Tsahiru Bako serves as Administrative secretary. Halima Labo, Special Duty commissioner in the office of the governor, is in charge of audit unit of the organisation.
It would be recalled that the Mutunchi Campaign Organisation, under the directorship of Alhaji Suleiman Lawal Kauru, was the platform on which Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo launched his governorship campaign in 2007.
